With 70% of the vote reported, the race in North Carolina looks tight.
Obama is reported to have 50.4% of the vote while McCain has 49.0%.
The Democrats have won four seats in the Senate so far.

CNN calls Obama the winner in New Mexico. This is five more electoral votes and possibly an indicator of the wider western Latino Vote.

While African Americans are turning out to the polls in record numbers in support of Sen. Barack Obama, several first-time voters’ inexperience is causing them anxiety.

CNN projects McCain will win West Virgina, which gives him 5 more electoral votes.

With a win in one or two states that George W. Bush won in 2004, Obama will have wrapped up this election. Based on the last round of polls before the election, Obama is already poised to win at least 264 electoral votes comfortably. A win in Colorado or another Bush state will push him over the edge.
